Summer School Plant Science

Summer School "Plant Science" - Angers

La 2ème édition de la Summer School "Plant Science" sera consacrée à la qualité et à la santé des plantes. Cette Summer School se déroulera du 27 juin au 8 juillet à Angers. Elle est ouverte principalement aux étudiants de Master /Post bachelor et sera dispensée en anglais.

Angers is a world center for research in plant sciences with national research centers in horticulture and several research units and companies in the related fields.
The "Plant Science" Summer School provides an insight into new developments in plant science research and gives students the opportunity to be exposed to multidisciplinary approaches in the field of sustainable management of plant health and quality.

Workshops
The program relies on interactive classes and hands-on ativities. Several workshops are organized, among them

  •     "qPFD: an innovative device for screening and evaluating plant elicitors”
  •     “In Silico design of plant pathogen identification tests
  •     “Macroscopic and microscopic observations of medicinal plants”
  •     “Genetic determinism of QTL”
  •     “Rose phenotyping and genotyping”
  •     “Transcriptomic data analysis”
  •     “Analytical methods for assessing fruit quality”
  •     "Biological data analysis : plant phenotyping"

Participants will have access to the 11th meeting of the SFBV (French Society of Plant Biology).
